Hello there.  I’m Jayne and I’ve been supporting people managers for over 20 years (I know, I don’t look old enough!).

To be completely honest , HR really wasn’t on my radar as a career choice when I was growing up; I mean, how many small children do you hear saying “When I grow up, I want to be a HR Consultant”?  But if I’d known back then how varied, fascinating, challenging and rewarding HR can be, it would definitely have been on my list of options alongside hairdresser, nurse and teacher.

But I know HR doesn’t float everyone’s boat and that managing people can be really tough; just one more thing you have to do in addition to the already demanding day job, a thankless task with very little reward.  But it’s also really important for a whole host of reasons; apart from trying not to fall foul of the numerous employment laws, you also need to be an expert in recruitment, training, handling poor behaviour and employee grumbles, health and welfare, employee engagement and communication, to name just a few.

I know you already have so much to do and worrying about HR issues can take up valuable time in your working day.  So I take great pride in our helping our clients through the complexities of whatever situation in which they may find themselves to ease their burden and reduce the stress.  After all, a problem shared is a problem halved, right?
